QC/T 991-2015 Passenger cars - Light alloy wheels - 90° impact test procedure 1 Scope This standard specifies two laboratory test procedures, Procedure I and Procedure II, for evaluating the strength and safety performance of wheels subjected to impact perpendicular to the wheel axis. Either of the two procedures may be selected for testing. This standard is applicable to light alloy wheels for passenger cars. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this standard. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB/T 2933 Wheels and rims for pneumatic tyres - Vocabulary, designation and marking (GB/T 2933-2009, ISO 3911: 2004, IDT) 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2933 apply. 4 Test samples A representative new wheel that has undergone all manufacturing processes, fitted with a tire, and ready for service on a vehicle. Wheels and tires used in this test shall not be reused on vehicles. 5 Procedure I 5.1 Test equipment Figure 1 shows a schematic diagram of a typical test equipment for Procedure I. It mainly consists of a vertically movable impact hammer and a mounting bracket for the wheel-tire assembly. Main requirements are as follows: a)Hammer head: with 150° included angle of impact surface, fillet radius R2, width 195 mm, length 500 mm; b)Basic weight of hammer: 150 kg, maximum weight: 315 kg, minimum adjustable weight: 5 kg; c)All weights of the hammer shall be fixed as a single unit, and the actual falling time shall not exceed 2% of the theoretical free-fall time; d)A device shall be provided to prevent secondary impact caused by rebound of the hammer; e)The mounting bracket shall have two rotatable fulcrums with a spacing of 200 mm; f)Two disc springs with combined stiffness Cf=(85±5) kN/mm, and disc springs preload of 0.2 mm; g)The horizontal position of the bracket shall be inclined downward by 1°; h)The wheel fixing device shall accommodate variations in wheel offset, ensuring the distance from the tire section center to the left fulcrum shown in Figure 1 is 450 mm, while aligning with the centerline of the hammer head. 5.2 Test procedures Figure 1 Schematic diagram of a typical test equipment 5.2.1 Test preparation
