Methods of air tight test for solid rocket motor
1 Scope
1.1 Subject content
This standard specifies the general requirements, test system composition, test methods and steps of air tight test for solid rocket motor (hereinafter referred to as motor) under positive pressure and vacuum conditions.
1.2 Application scope
This standard is applicable to air tight test for various motors before manufacturing, acceptance, storage, static firing test and launch, as well as single air tight test for motor components at all levels.
2 Normative references
GJB 2365 Solid rocket motor - Measuring method for static firing test
3 Definitions
3.1
positive pressure air tight test
test to inspect whether the sealing performance of the motor or leak detection tank is in good condition by checking the leakage of the gas medium filled into the motor or leak detection tank under inspection (indicating greater than standard atmospheric pressure)
3.2
vacuum air tight test
test to inspect whether the sealing performance of the motor or components is in good condition by checking the leakage of gas medium into the vacuum chamber
3.3
pressure of inner cavity
pressure reached after the inner cavity of motor or leak detection tank is inflated
3.4
inflation pressure
pressure of the gas medium when it is decompressed and filled into the inner cavity of motor or leak detection tank from the gas medium source, that is, the pressure indicated by the inflation decompression gauge
