Measurement method for geometrical thrust deviation and off-set of solid rocket motor
1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements, principles, system components, procedures and data processing methods for geometrical thrust deviation and off-set of solid rocket motor.
This standard is applicable to the measurement of geometrical thrust (hereinafter referred to as thrust line) deviation and off-set of solid rocket motor with a diameter of greater than 400mm (including φ400mm) by theodolite.
2 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following term and definition apply.
2.1
axis of solid rocket motor
connecting line between the centers of the outer circles of the front and rear skirts or between the centers of the outer circles of the front and rear positioning planes of the solid rocket motor (hereinafter referred to as motor). For a single skirt motor, its axis is the normal of the center of the skirt outer circle or the center of the positioning plane
2.2
thrust line
connecting line between the centers of the nozzle throat cross section and the outlet plane
2.3
thrust line deviation
angle between motor thrust line and motor axis in space
2.4
thrust line off-set
vertical distance between motor thrust line and motor axis in space
