本标准规定了石油化工装置板式塔的塔盘及其部件的机械设计（包括结构和强度设计）、制造、预组装、验收、包装、安装、检验和测试。对于不同流程塔盘间的再分配挡板、塔釜挡板和特殊结构塔盘等也可参照执行。
本标准适用于石油化工装置板式塔塔盘的设计、制造、安装和检验，不适用于填料塔的填料支撑、集油箱和盘式分配器等。
