This Specification specifies all requirements of electrodeposited silver coating.
1.2 Scope of application
This Specification is applicable to the electrodeposited silver coating of metallic and nonmetallic workpieces for electronic and electric product.
1.3 Classification
1.3.1 Type
Silver coating can be divided into the following three types as required (see 3.3.4 and 6.3):
Type I — No brightness
Type II — Half brightness
Type III — Brightness
1.3.2 Grade
Silver coating can be divided into the following two grades as required (see 3.4.7 and 6.1.2):
Grade A — With reinforced anti-discoloration treatment (chromate treatment)
Grade B — Without reinforced anti-discoloration treatment
