1. Imperfections of the former standard have been revised, technical contents of the clauses have been supplemented and adjusted, and the operability has been improved;

Provisions for the detailed engineering design of petrochemical plants
1 General provisions
1.1 Provisions for the detailed engineering design of petrochemical plants (hereafter referred to as the Provisions) is formulated with a view to improving the finished product quality of petrochemical engineering design, and unifying content and depth of detailed engineering documents of petrochemical plant.
1.2 The Provisions is applicable to the detailed engineering design of constructed and renovated (expanded) petrochemical plants and the detailed engineering design of oil product storage and transportation, public utilities and auxiliary facilities may be implemented by reference to the Provisions.
1.3 The detailed engineering design document shall be prepared according to the project contract, the approved and confirmed foundation engineering design document and design foundation information.
1.4 The detailed engineering design document is supplemented, revised and improved on the basis of foundation engineering design, and the content and depth shall meet the requirements of general material procurement, equipment order and manufacturing, engineering construction and plant production and operation.
1.5 The Provisions is the basic requirements for the content of detailed engineering design documents for petrochemical plant, and the renovation (extension) content of the renovation (extension) project shall be stated in the design document. Any special requirements of the Owner may be stipulated in the project contract.
1.6 The Provisions has no unified requirements for the drawing and table format of detailed engineering design document, which may be specified at the discretion of engineering design organizations.
1.7 The Provisions shall only be used as the basis for compiling the contents of finished product documents of engineering design, and shall not be used as the basis for professional setting and professional division of labor within engineering design units.
1.8 The provisions related to the Provisions refer to SPMP-STD-EM2001 Provisions on process design kit for petrochemical plants (whole-set technology and process kit), SPMP-STD-EM2002 Provisions on overall design for large scale construction project and SPMP-STD-EM2003 Provisions on foundation engineering design of petrochemical plants.
2 Process
2.1 Composition of detailed engineering design documents
a) Text and tables:
1) Contents of documents;
2) Instructions;
3) Battery limit condition list;
4) Piping table;
5) Process equipment table;
6) Data sheets of safety valve and rupture disk;
7) Process equipment data sheet (where foundation engineering design is modified and the engineering design organization does not present the detailed engineering design drawing of equipment);
b) Drawings:
1) Process flow diagrams (PFD) (the affirmed foundation engineering design drawings may be copied);
2) Utility process flow diagram (UFD);
3) Piping and instrument diagram (P&ID);
4) Utility piping and instrument diagram (UID).
2.2 Content of detailed engineering design documents
2.2.1 All the finished documents of detailed engineering design (including newly-designed and reused text, table and drawing) shall be listed in the contents of documents, which shall include serial number, document No., document name, quantity, edition (revision number) and necessary notes. The contents of documents shall list the newly-designed documents, texts and drawings first, and then the reused documents and drawings (or selected standard drawings).
2.2.2 The instructions shall include the contents supplemented, modified and improved on the basis of foundation engineering design documents.
2.2.3 Battery limit condition list shall include the contents supplemented, modified and improved on the basis of foundation engineering design documents.
2.2.4 Piping table shall include the contents supplemented, modified and improved on the basis of foundation engineering design, including piping grade, design conditions, test mode (hydraulically and air tightness) and test pressure, piping inspection level and steam blowing or not etc.
2.2.5 Process equipment table
2.2.5.1 Process equipment table shall include the contents supplemented, modified and improved on the basis of foundation engineering design.
2.2.5.2 Process equipment table shall be classified. Process equipment is divided into static equipment, industrial furnace, dynamic equipment and mechanical equipment. Static equipment may be further divided into reactor, tower, vessel, heat exchanger, air-cooling condensers and other categories (e.g. filter, mixer, muffler, ejector and safety valve); the dynamic equipment may be further divided into pump, compressor, fan and other categories (e.g. dryer, crusher, solid material conveyor and special valves).
2.2.5.3 Process equipment table shall list the tag No., name, specification (model/type), operation condition (media, temperature and pressure etc.), design conditions (temperature and pressure etc.), characteristic (performance) parameters, quantity (containing standby quantity), weight, thermal insulation materials, thermal insulation thickness and requirements of all equipment and necessary description. Patented (proprietary technology) equipment shall be indicated, and the scope of the complete set shall be indicated for complete sets of supplied equipment.
As for different categories of process equipment, the specific contents of characteristic (performance) parameters and necessary description include:
a) Pump: including flow, lift, outlet pressure, net positive suction head required, pump efficiency, sealing type, washing form, shaft power, distribution motor model and power, explosion-proof grade and supply voltage, etc. If turbine drive is adopted, the model, power, form and steam parameter etc. of turbine shall be described;
b) Compressor: including type, flow, outlet pressure, shaft power, driver model and power, drive mode (supply voltage or steam pressure), explosion-proof grade, protection requirements, rotational speed and transmission mode etc.
