1.0.1 This code is formulated with the view to make concrete and masonry of the railway meet the requirements of advanced technology, reasonable economy, and high quality under construction.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the construction of railway concrete (including concrete, reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete) and masonry (including stonework and concrete masonry); it is not applicable to the construction of concrete and masonry in railway industry and civil building.
1.0.3 As for the quality requirements and test methods of the engineering materials (including raw materials, semi-manufactured goods and finished products), if not specified in this code, the current relevant standards of the nation shall be complied with.
Each engineering material shall be possessed of quality certificate or test report, and come into service after inspection and acceptance.
1.0.4 In the process of construction, each procedure shall be inspected. Any procedure violating this code shall be corrected timely and recorded as required.
1.0.5 In the process of construction, requirements relate to safety technology, labor protection, environmental protection, energy-saving and fire prevention, etc. shall be implemented according to the current relevant standards of the nation.
1.0.6 No only the requirements stipulated in this code, but also those in the current relevant compulsory ones of the nation shall be complied with for the construction of railway concrete and masonry.
