1.0.1 This Code is formulated with view to unifying railway steel bridge manufacturing technology standard, ensuring steel bridge manufacturing quality and achieving technical advancement, economy and reasonablity and safety and reliability.
1.0.2 This Code is applicable to railway steel bridge fabrication and quality inspection. As for the new technology, new structure, new materials and new process not involved in this Code, they shall be tested in fabrication and the standards which must be supplemented are determined according to the test result.
1.0.3 The railway steel bridge fabrication shall be provided with sound quality management system and manufacturing quality inspection system.
1.0.4 Railway steel bridge fabrication must apply measuring devices measured and verified qualified and operate them according to the relevant requirements.
1.0.5 The quality control shall be conducted on the procedures of railway steel bridge fabrication according to the technical standards: after fulfillment of each procedure, it shall be examined annd recorded; handing-over inspection shall be conducted between procedures, and the products after each procedure not suject to inspection or inspected as unqualified shall not be fabricated in the next procedure.
1.0.6 Besides the provisions of this Code, the construction of railway steel bridge shall comply with the provisions of the related current national compulsory standards.
