This standard specifies the methods and evaluation indicators for the performance test of electric and diesel locomotive dynamics.
This standard is applicable to electric and diesel locomotives on main railways with the track gauge of 1435mm.
The relevant content of this standard may also be taken as reference for the performance evaluation test and the relevant research test of dynamics for electric and diesel locomotive with other track gauges and for mining.
The matters uncovered in this standard shall be separately agreed on by the relevant departments.
2 Evaluation Indicators
2.1 Three limit values, namely "qualified", "good" and "excellent", are given in the listed test evaluation indicators in this standard. The dynamics performance of all testing locomotives shall not be lower than the "qualified" grade.
2.2 Running safety
Derailment coefficients and the line's lateral stability coefficients are primary indicators for evaluating the running safety of locomotives.
2.2.1 Terms and symbol explanations
a. P - the vertical force that is measured directly and exists between the locomotive guide wheel and the steel rail, in kN;
b. Q - the lateral force that is measured directly and exists between the locomotive guide wheel and the steel rail, in kN;
c. Q/P - the derailment coefficient that is used for evaluating the safety degree of the locomotive wheel rim from climbing up the steel rail under the combined action of the lateral force and vertical force between wheel rails;
