PM2.5 protective mask
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, grading and designation, technical requirements, test methods, product instruction and packaging of PM2.5 protective masks.
This standard is applicable to the masks worn by the public in daily life to prevent the inhalation of PM2.5 in the air.
This standard is not applicable to the protection against inhalation of harmful gases and vapors, and is not applicable to the dust masks used for anoxic environment, escape, fire fighting, medical care or other professions.

4 Classification, grading and designation
4.1 Classification
Products are classified into disposable masks and replaceable masks by the structure, and into large (L), middle (M) and small (S) types by size.
4.2 Grading
Products are classified into Grade 1 F95 (≥95%) and Grade 2 F90 (≥90%) by the filter efficiency.
4.3 Designation
The masks produced according to this standard shall have a designation indicating the grade, with a combination of the serial number of this standard, the year number and the grade. Wherein "F" is the first letter of the phonetic alphabet "Fang”.
For the F95 mask, the designation is T/CTCA 1-2015-F95;
For the F90 mask, the designation is T/CTCA 1-2015-F90.
