This standard specifies the definition, principle, equipment, sample, procedure and result processing and test report for "Test Method for Thermal Shock Resistance of Refractory Products (Air Quenching)".
This standard is applicable to those refractory products to which YB/T 376.1 - Water Quenching Method is not applicable, including alkaline refractory product, silica refractory product, fusion casting refractory product, and those refractory products whose total porosity is greater than 45% or whose thermal shock resistance cannot be determined due to the interaction with water or few thermal shocks under water quenching method.
This standard is also applicable to refractory products that Water Quenching Method is applicable in YB/T 376.1, but the tested times of thermal shocks are different.
