Sling with flemish eye ferrule-secured termination
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, identification and quality certificate, and packaging, transportation and storage of slings with flemish eye ferrule-secured termination.
This standard is applicable to single-layer round-strand steel wire ropes with a nominal diameter of 6mm~150mm and a nominal tensile strength of not more than 1,960 MPa.

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
steel wire rope sling
steel wire rope sling made by standard methods (pressing, braiding, etc.) with steel wire rope as the main body, which can withstand tensile load
3.2
ferrule-secured eye termination
eye termination made at the end of the steel wire rope by means of ferrule pressing
3.3
sling with flemish eye ferrule-secured termination
a kind of sling, with the end of the steel wire rope being twisted and then pressed and secured with the main body of steel wire rope by ferrule to make an eye termination end
