This standard is applicable to cold-rolled spring and tool steel strips. It is used for manufacturing springs, tools, measuring tapes, etc.
1 Classification and codes
1.1 By manufacturing precision
Steel strips with general precision P
Steel strips with higher width precision K
Steel strips with higher thickness precision H
Steel strips with high thickness precision J
Steel strips with higher width and thickness precision KH
1.2 By surface quality
Group I steel strips I
Group II steel strips II
1.3 By edge condition
Slit edge steel strips Q
Non-slit edge steel strips BQ
1.4 By material condition
Cold hardened steel strips Y
Annealed steel strips T
Spheroidized annealed steel strips QT
2 Dimensions and shapes
2.1 Dimensions of steel strips and their permissible deviations shall meet the requirements of Table 1.
2.2 By mutual agreement, steel strips of other specifications not covered in Table 1 may be supplied, with permissible deviations determined by the supplier and the buyer.
2.3 The unevenness of steel strips shall comply with Table 2.
2.4 The camber of slit edge steel strips shall meet the following requirements:
For steel strips with a width not exceeding 50 mm, the camber per meter shall not exceed 3 mm;
For steel strips with a width exceeding 50 mm, the camber per meter shall not exceed 2 mm.
By mutual agreement, the camber of non-slit edge steel strips may be specified.
2.5 The length of steel strips shall not be less than 6 m. However, steel strips with lengths not less than 3 m may be delivered, but with a quantity not exceeding 10% of the batch weight.
