Chromite for refractory
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, as well as packaging, marking and quality certification of chromite for refractory.
This standard is applicable to chromite for refractory.
2 Normative references
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition applies.

YB/T 191.2 Methods for chemical analysis of chromium ores - Titrimetri method for the determination of oxidation chromium content
YB/T 191.3 Methods for chemical analysis of chromium ores - The perchloric acid dehydrationgravimetric method for the determination of silicon dioxide content
YB/T 191.4 Methods for chemical analysis of chromium ores - The potassium dichromate titrimetric method for the determination of total iron content
YB/T 5142 The general rules for packing, marking, transporting, saving and certification of metallurgical mine
3 Grade and its expression methods
3.1 Chromite is divided into four grades according to the content of chromic oxide. That is, GKS40, GKS36, GKS33 and GKS30.
3.2 Representation method of grade: it is taken from the first letter of Chinese phonetic alphabet “Ge Kuang Shi (chromite)”, and the number behind is the percentage content of chromic oxide.
