1 Subject Content and Application Scope
This standard specifies the type, code, dimension, shape, specification, testing method, inspecting rules, packaging, trademark and quality certificate of the low carbon steel wire for general uses (hereafter referred to as steel wire).
This standard is applicable to the circular section of low carbon steel wire for general binding, pulling, nail-making, waving and building purposes.

3.1 The steel wire can be classified into 3 types according to the delivery state, their codes are shoed as follows:
Wire of Cold Drawing WCD
Annealed Wire TA
Galvanized Wire SZ
3.2 Steel wire can be classified into 3 types according to the usage:
I Steel wire for general usage
Ⅱ Steel wire for nail-making
Ⅲ Steel wire for building
3.3 The delivery state and usage of the steel wire should be indicated in the contract.
