1 Scope
This Standard specifies the determination method [headspace - gas chromatography ( HS -GC )] of volatile organic compounds [benzol, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene (adjacent, between, pair), ethanol, isopropanol, normal butyl alcohol, acetone, 4-methyl-2-pentanone, methylethyl ketone, cyclohexanone, ethyl acetate, acetic acid-n-propyl ester, acetic acid n-butyl ester, isopropyl acetate and propylene glycol monomethyl ether (1-methoxyl -2- propanol, 2- methoxyl -1- propanol)] in cigarette carton and packet packing paper.
This Standard is applicable to the cigarette carton and packet packing paper and other printing and coating paper may also refer to it.
2 Principle
In sealed container or at a certain temperature, partition equilibrium exist for volatile component in the sample between gas phase ( headspace ) and substrate( liquid phase or solid phase).When equilibrium is reached, gas phase part is led in gas chromatography for separation and the content of volatile components in the sample may be determined after the substrate rectification.
