1 Scope This standard specifies testing methods for surge protective devices connected to low-voltage distribution systems of telecommunication stations/sites (hereinafter referred to as "surge protective device"). This standard is applicable to quality inspection and assessment of surge protective device connected to low-voltage distribution system of telecommunication stations/sites at all levels (low-voltage side of distribution transformer, a.c. input end of distribution room and power room, a.c and d.c. distribution cabinet (box) at each machine room).
