本标准规定了低铁锌锭的要求、试验方法、检验规则及包装、标志、运输、贮存、质量证明书和订货单（或合同）。本标准适用于以锌精矿和含锌物料为原料，用精馏法生产的主品位锌不小于99.997%的锌锭。用于热浸镀锌行业高端产品以及生产压铸件产品，同时作为干电池行业用无汞锌粉的生产原料。
