1 Scope
This standard specifies requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and the order (the Contract) of lithium niobate single crystal.
This standard is applicable to rolled products of lithium niobate primary single crystal grown by Czochralski method.
2 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1 Orientation-cut
Orientation-cut is transmission flat of acoustic waves.
2.2 Orientation flat
Orientation flat is reference flat for determining sound propagation direction required for apparatus.
2.3 Second flat
Second flat is reference flat for determining positive and negative directions of crystal face.
2.4 Domain
Domain is minor areas with the same direction of electric polarization.
2.5 Axis deviation
It's the angular deviation between geometrical axis and specified axis of single crystal.
2.6 Supercooling circle
It's the opaque layer on the surface and inside the single crystal.
2.7 Cuie temperature
It's the temperature transformed from ferroelectric phase to para-electric phase.
