This part specifies such methods as mechanical vibration sieve method, manual-air-blowing sieve method and ethanol sieve method to measure the particle size distribution of aluminum powder, magnesium powder and Al-Mg alloy powder.
Mechanical vibration sieve method is applicable to measure the particle size distribution of granular aluminum powder, magnesium powder and Al-Mg alloy powder which are free from lubricant and whose particle size is wholly or mainly greater than 56 μm.
Manual-air-blowing sieve method is applicable to measure the particle size distribution of sheet aluminum powder which contains a small amount of lubricant and whose particle size is wholly or mainly greater than 56 μm.
Ethanol sieve method is applicable to measure the particle size distribution of sheet aluminum powder which contains a small amount of lubricant and whose particle size is wholly or mainly less than 56 μm.
