本标准规定了船舶对接、角接焊缝的手工超声波探伤工艺及焊缝质量分级。
本标准适用于母材厚度为6~100mm的铁素体钢全焊透焊缝手工直接接触的A型脉冲反射式超声波探伤。
本标准不适用于铸钢及奥氏体不锈钢焊缝，以及未经热处理的电渣焊焊缝，外径小于250mm或内外径之比小于0.8筒体纵向焊缝，筒体（或管件）外径小于200mm的周向焊缝；各种尺寸的面积相贯焊缝。
