Textile products for newborn
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, size specifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of textile products for newborn.
This document is applicable to textile products worn or used by newborns, including clothing, socks (booties), bonnets, belly wears, mittens, towels, baby swaddles (blankets), sleeping bags, and bedding.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 31701 and the following apply.
3.1
newborn
infant aged from the time the umbilical cord is ligated to 28 days after the delivery from the mother
4 Size specifications
4.1 The size of garments shall meet the requirements of GB/T 6411 or GB/T 1335.3, and the size beyond the standard range may be increased or decreased in sequence according to the grading values and principles specified in the standard.
4.2 Non-clothing products shall be marked with specifications of main parts, which shall refer to the relevant product standards or be designed by enterprises themselves.
