This standard is not applicable to settees and other multi-purpose chairs, nor reclining chairs when they are reclined or chairs with tilting backrest.
Calculative methods specified in this standard are not applicable to arm soft chair, multiple settee, spring flexible seat without constant elasticity factor and the chair with shape changed during loading, such as folding chair and the chair made of metal material and plastics.
The calculative method is not applicable to the chair whose deformation is larger than 2.5mm during the loading but applicable to the chair inconvenient for displacement.
The calculative method shall be adopted to determine the stability of the products during the arbitration test for the products applied for experimental method and calculative method.
