1 Scope
This standard specifies basic principles, general requirements and contents of declaration in connection with the marking of fertilizers.
This standard is applicable to fertilizers produced and marketed within the territory of People's Republic of China.

3 Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.
3.1 marking
a general designation used to identify fertilizer products and their various representations of quality, quantity, characteristics and methods of use; it may be represented by characters, symbols, patterns and other means of description
3.2 label
printed part of scraps of paper or plastic, or containers such as packaging bags, providing necessary information for identifying the fertilizer and understanding its main properties
3.3 packed fertilizer
fertilizer packed in containers in advance to be delivered to customers
3.4 container
sealed containers (e.g. bags, bottles, tanks, barrels) that are in direct contact with the fertilizer and allow for transportation or storage in unit quantities thereof
Note: Fertilizer products in oversize packs are called bulk products in some countries.
