1 Scope
This part specifies the frequencies and limits of biological toxicity tests, in different sea areas, of pollutants used or generated in the operation of marine petroleum exploration and exploitation and then discharged into the ocean as well as requirements for the test methods and result judgment for samples.
This part is applicable to the grading of biological toxicity of drilling fluids, base fluids, drill cuttings and produced water used or generated in the operation of marine petroleum exploration and exploitation and then discharged into the ocean, and it also serves as a reference for the grading of biological toxicity of other pollutants.
