1 Scope
This standard specifies the scope, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, marking, packing, transportation and storage of the food additive-natural vitamin E.
This standard is applicable to the natural vitamin E extracted from the byproducts of natural edible vegetable oils as well as to the products made from edible vegetable oils.
In food industry, d-α-tocopherol concentrate is suitable for use as nutrient supplement and antioxidant; mixed tocopherols concentrate is suitable for use as antioxidant; d-α-tocopheryl acetate, d-α-tocopheryl acetate concentrate and d-α-tocopheryl acid succinate are suitable for use as nutrient supplements.
