3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 Explosive substance
Substance that could have violent chemical reaction with external actions (such as heating and impact), generate a large amount of gases and heat in a second and make urgent rise of ambient pressure leading to explosion and damaging the ambient environment. In this standard, explosive substance refers to the one specified in GB 12268, exclusive of civil blasting material.
3.2 Chemical toxic substance
Chemicals with extreme acute toxic hazards, including artificially synthesized chemicals and their mixture (including pesticide) and natural toxin. In this standard, chemical toxic substance refers to the one listed in "List of Acute Toxic Chemicals" of State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision (SAQTS) Announcement.
3.3 Actual capacity of tank
In normal temperature, the water capacity of that fills up the tank.
4 Requirements
4.1 Chassis requirements
4.1.1 Engine
Transportation vehicle of explosive substance with its total mass larger than 2000kg shall adopt compression ignition engine.
4.1.2 Exhaust system
4.1.2.1 The safety protection of the vehicle engine fuel system shall meet the requirements of GB 7258.
4.1.2.2 Vehicle engine exhaust device shall be possessed of the exhaust spark extinguishing function. If exhaust arc arrester is applied, it shall meet the requirements of GB 13365.
4.1.2.3 For vehicle with its total mass larger than 2000kg, its engine exhaust device shall be arranged in the front of the body, and the distance from exhaust pipe to transported goods shall be at least larger than 300mm. Its air outlet shall be kept far away not less than 500mm from the transported goods; for vehicle with its total mass less than 2000kg (including 2000kg), its engine exhaust device should be arranged in the front of the body. If arranged at the bottom of the cargo floor, a thermal baffle equipped with reflection radiation material shall be installed between the exhaust pipe and the cargo floor. The distance from the exhaust pipe to the transported goods shall be at least larger than 150mm.
