1 Scope
This standard specifies the measurement methods and inspection rules for the energy efficiency grades, minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, evaluating values of energy conservation, energy efficiency and passive standby power of flat panel televisions.
This standard is applicable to LCDTV and PDPTV (hereinafter referred to as flat panel television) with main functions of receiving, demodulating and displaying the wired, satellite or other analog and digital signals under the normal operation of network voltage; it is also applicable to displayers circulated as TV products without tuners.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions and the ones in SJ/T 11324 apply.
3.1
On mode
Flat panel televisions are powered on and then they generate sound and/or images.
3.2
Passive standby mode
Flat panel televisions are powered on, but they don't generate any sound or image; whereas they can be switched to off/on mode with remote control or other external signals.
3.3
Passive standby power
The active power being measured when flat panel television is in passive standby mode according to the measuring method specified in this standard, W.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the measurement methods and inspection rules for the energy efficiency grades, minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, evaluating values of energy conservation, energy efficiency and passive standby power of flat panel televisions.
