Introduction of GB/T 8170-2008
This standard specifies the rules of rounding off for numerical values, expression and judgment method of numerical values and limiting value, relevant terms and symbols, and methods of comparing the measured value or its calculated value with the limiting value specified in the standard.
This standard is applicable to the various numerical values measured and calculated in science, technology and production activities. This standard shall be adopted if the obtained numerical values require to be rounded off.
This standard is applicable to the compilation of all kinds of standards or other technical specifications as well as the judgment of the testing results.
