1 Scope
This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, marking, information to be provided by the manufacturer and packaging of the climb auto system against fall and describes its test methods.
This document is applicable to the climb auto system against fall used in construction, overhaul, equipment maintenance and emergency rescue operations.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
climb auto system against fall
fall protection equipment which adopts external power source or is driven by battery and carries people and equipment to rise or fall according to the predetermined direction of anchor line
3.2
fixed climb auto system against fall
climb auto system against fall (3.1) of which the anchor line is permanently fixed to the surface of a structure and that carry personnel and equipment up or down through the platform in the predetermined direction of the anchor lines when in use
Note: It is composed of anchor lines, load-bearing components (platform), power plant, etc.
3.3
portable climb auto system against fall
climb auto system against fall (3.1) of which the anchor line does not need to be fixed to the surface of a structure and that carry personnel and equipment up or down with load-bearing components in the predetermined direction of the anchor lines when in use
Note: It is composed of anchor lines, load-bearing components, etc.
3.4
load-bearing components
assembly of components in the climb auto system against fall (3.1) that are in direct contact with personnel or equipment and carry the weight of personnel and components
3.5
anchor line
components capable of moving the climb auto system against fall (3.1) up and down in a predetermined direction
3.6
descent components
assembly of components in the climb auto system against fall (3.1) for controlled descent under load and no power
3.7
stop components
components for a fixed climb auto system against fall (3.2) to automatically stop after reaching a predetermined position during ascent and descent
3.8
fall protection components
assembly of components in the climb auto system against fall (3.1) that implement the fall protection function
3.9
rated load
sum of the masses of personnel and equipment carried by the equipment under normal working conditions expressly indicated by the manufacturer
3.10
working load limit
limit specified by the manufacturer to the sum of the mass of personnel and equipment that the equipment can carry

Climb auto systems against fall are divided into portable and fixed types according to product installation methods and design structures.
