Article 1.0.1 This norm is formulated in order to enable the design of acetylene station (including acetylene omnibus bar room) to follow principles and policies of national capital construction, persist in comprehensive utilization, energy conservation, environmental protection and achieve safety first, advanced technology as well as economy and rationality.
Article 1.0.2 This norm is applicable to the following constructed, renovated and extended projects:
I. Design of acetylene station producing acetylene with calcium carbide;
II. Design of acetylene omnibus bar room;
III. Design of plant and workshop acetylene pipe.
This norm is not applicable to the design of acetylene station and acetylene pipe producing chemical virgin gas.
Article 1.0.3 The design of extended or renovated acetylene station, acetylene omnibus bar room and acetylene pipe must take full advantage of the original buildings and structures, equipments and pipes.
Article 1.0.4 The category of production fire hazard for gas making station house, bottling station house, carbide slag treatment station house, carbide bin, carbide crushing and carbide slag pit as well as acetylene cylinder bin, acetone bin and acetylene omnibus bar room of acetylene station shall be Category "A".
Article 1.0.5 The design of acetylene station, acetylene omnibus bar room and acetylene pipe shall not only meet those specified in this norm, but also shall comply with the current relevant national standards and codes.
