This code specifies the design, manufacture, construction, operation, management and maintenance of the production, recovery, distribution, storage and application facilities for gas from producer, water gas furnace, semiwater gas furnace, blast furnace, coke oven, continuous vertical carbide furnace and converter in the plant area of industrial enterprises as well as for natural gas with pressure less than or equal to 12×105Pa (1.22×105mm H2O) (excluding exploitation and out-plant distribution).
This code is not applicable the urban main pipe, branch pipe of courtyard pipe network of city gas as well as the pressure regulator and liquefied petroleum gas, etc.
Provided that the relevant requirements of this code can not be implemented due to adopting new technologies or introducing technologies and engineering, the corresponding safety requirements (attached with scientific reference) shall be proposed and reported to the labour departments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities for approval, and be reported to the Ministry of Labour and Personnel for record, and then application and operation will be allowed.
