Article 1.0.1 This code is made to implement seriously the relevant national technical and economical policies in the design of substations so as to meet the requirements of safety and reliable operation, advanced technology and rationality and economy.
Article 1.0.2 This code applies to the design of newly built substations with voltage of 35 ~ 110kV, capacity of single transformer of 5000kVA and above.
Article 1.0.3 The design of substation shall be based on the 5 ~ 10 years planning for the project; both the short and long-term planning shall be taken into consideration, with the stress on the short-term; the relationship between the short-term construction and the long-term development shall be handled correctly and proper consideration shall be given to the possibility of future extension.
Article 1.0.4 The design of substation must be based on the overall situation giving an allround consideration to the design scheme according to the load nature, power consumption capacity, project characteristics and the regional power supply conditions, and determined rationally according to China’s reality.
Article 1.0.5 The design of substation must follow the principle of saving on land.
Article 1.0.6 The design of substation must also comply with the relevant national codes and standards currently in force, in addition to implementing this code.
