1.0.1 This Code is formulated with a view to prevent and reduce the fire hazard on the garage, motor repair shop and parking area, so as to protect personal and property safety.
1.0.2 This Code is applicable to the fire protection design of new-build, expanded and reconstructed garage, motor repair shop and parking area (hereinafter collectively referred to "garage"), but not applicable to fire protection design of garage of fire station.
1.0.3 Fire protection design of the garage must proceed from the overall situation and ensure safe application, state-of-art technology and economic feasibility.
1.0.4 The fire protection design of the garage shall not comply with this Code, but shall also meet the requirements of relevant current design standards and codes of the nation.
