1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This standard is formulated in order to ensure the test quality of concrete structures, correctly evaluate the basic performance of concrete structures, and unify the test methods of concrete structures.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the load tests for the reinforced concrete structures and prestressed concrete structures in the industrial and civil buildings as well as general structures. This standard is not applicable to the research tests with special requirements as well as structural tests under such environment conditions as high temperature, negative temperature and aggressive medium.
1.0.3 This standard shall be implemented in accordance with the requirements of the current national standard "Code for Design of Concrete Structures" GBJ 10-89, "Load Code for the Design of Building Structures" GBJ 9-87, and other relevant standards and codes.
2 Manufacture of Test Structural Members and Fundamental Mechanical Performance of Materials
2.0.1 Materials, sectional geometric dimensions and construction quality of test structural members shall meet the requirements of the current national standard "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Concrete Structures", "Quality inspection and assessment of prefabricated concrete structural members", and relevant standards and codes.
Where the research test structural members are manufactured, the right positions of embedded parts and reserved holes for measuring instruments as well as the sectional weakening reduction shall be ensured, and measures shall be taken to prevent the embedded sensing elements from being damaged under construction. Partial strengthening such as reinforcement meshes or steel plates shall be taken at the positions where the members bear larger concentrated loads.
2.0.2 Mechanical performance tests such as yield strength, tensile strength, elongation and cold bend shall be carried out for the specimens of reinforcement in the test structural members. Tensile test of reinforcement specimens shall meet the requirements of the current national standard "Metal tensile test method".
Where the reinforcement stress of members is required to be determined, the elastic modulus of reinforcement shall be determined, and stress-strain curve shall be drawn.
2.0.3 In the research test, when the test structural members are manufactured, the same batch of mixture shall be adopted to manufacture concrete cube specimen which shall be cured under the same conditions with the test structural members.
If the stress, elastic modulus or axial compressive strength of concrete is required to be determined, prismoid specimen shall be manufactured and concrete stress-strain curve should be drawn.
Where the crack resistance test research is carried out, other concrete cube specimens shall be manufactured simultaneously for determining the tensile strength.
The manufacture, curing and test of cube specimens and prismoid specimens shall meet the requirements of the current national standard "Testing methods for mechanical performance of ordinary concrete".
2.0.4 Where test structural members are manufactured by new types of reinforcement or cement, the quality of materials shall meet the requirements of the current relevant standards and codes of the nation.
2.0.5 As for the sampling inspection of prefabricated members produced in batches, the mechanical performance indexes for the reinforcement and concrete of test members shall be provided by the submitted units before the tests.
2.0.6 Where the actual strength of test structural member materials shall be further determined, specimens may be cut from the positions with less force for the mechanical performance tests after the member tests are completed.
