1 Scope
This standard specifies the methods, technical requirements and acceptance evaluation conditions for the structural integrity test of containments.
This standard is applicable to the structural integrity test of steel-lined containments made of bonded prestressed concrete for pressurized water reactor power plants, applicable to the vertical cylindrical single-layer containments with flat spherical dome and flat bottom plate. This standard may serve as reference for the structural in-service inspection of such kind of containments. It may also be used as reference for containments of other shapes.

The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB 50152 Standard for test method of concrete structures
HAF 102 (2004) Safety specifications for design of nuclear power plant
3 Test purpose
The test is carried out to inspect the capability of containment to withstand design basis accidents in terms of construction and strength, and verify that the containment is able to maintain structural integrity during design basis accidents, thus meeting the requirements of Clause 6, HAF102 (2004).
