1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code was formulated with a view to improving the construction level of the casting plant installation, promoting the technological progress, ensuring the engineering quality and safety and improving the economic benefits.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the construction and acceptance of the installation engineering of universal sand preparation equipment, moulding and core making equipment, knockout equipment, cleaning equipment as well as metal mould casting, investment casting and melting equipments.
1.0.3 The construction and acceptance of casting plant installation shall not only comply with this code, but also shall meet those specified in the relevant current standards of the state.
2 Basic Requirement
2.0.1 Before the installation of casting equipment, the dimensions of the steel structural parts, concrete structural parts and equipment foundations related to the equipment installation shall be rechecked in accordance with the installation design drawing.
2.0.2 The cleaning of casting equipment shall meet the following requirements:
1 The equipments leaving the factory by overall body shall adopt surface cleaning, and their internal components shall neither be dismantled nor cleaned;
2 As for the equipments leaving the factory in disassembled parts, the surface of the disassembled parts shall be cleaned. The components, precision parts and sealing elements that haven been assembled when leaving the factory shall not be dismantled or cleaned.
2.0.3 After the casting equipment is positioned, the permissible deviations in its position and elevation, if not provided in the corresponding chapters and sections of this code, shall meet the following requirements:
1 Where the casting equipment has any technological or transporting linkage or connection with other equipments, the permissible deviation for its planimetric position shall be ±2mm, that for its elevation shall be ±5mm, and the relative elevation deviation shall not be larger than 2mm;
2 Where the casting equipment has no technological or transporting linkage or connection with other equipments, the permissible deviation for its planimetric position shall be ±10mm and that for its elevation shall be between -10mm and +20mm.
2.0.4 The installation of casting equipment on concrete foundation shall meet the following requirements:
1 When leveling such jolt-squeeze moulding machine or jolt moulding machine with large deadweight or large vibration, the foundation surface contacting with the sizing block or base shall be leveled or rubbed down but shall not be trowelled with mortar.
2 As for the inertia vibrating knockout machine producing centrifugal force by vibration, the vibration reduction measures taken between its base and foundation shall meet the requirements of accompanying technical documents, if no requirements are given, hard square timbers may be padded.
2.0.5 The installation of casting equipment on metal structural parts shall meet the following requirements:
1 Sizing block should be adopted for leveling the equipment; after leveling, the sizing block shall be welded firmly with the metal structural support;
2 As for the casting equipment with large vibration or high precision requirement, sizing block should not be adopted; the upper plane of the metal structural support shall be straight and even, and the deviations in the installation levels both in the longitudinal and the transversal directions shall not be larger than 1/1000;
3 As for the casting equipment of large deadweight or with vibration centrifugal force, the vibration reduction measures taken between its support and the metal structure shall meet the requirements of accompanying technical documents, if no requirements are given, the vibration-reduction materials, like hardwood, ebonite board or felt, may be padded.
2.0.6 Before the installation of casting equipment, the geometric dimensions of such spare parts as metal structures, equipment shell, doors and wallboards of chambers, platform and stairs of the equipment shall be rechecked.
2.0.7 The important fixing joint surfaces of the casting equipment, after fastening, shall be inspected with 0.04mm-thick feeler gauge, the insertion depth in their local clearance shall neither be larger than 1/4 of the width of the joint surface nor be larger than 30mm, and the sum of the inserted length shall not be larger than 10% of the inspected perimeter.
2.0.8 The permissible deviation of the rail installation of traveling bogie or trolley to which the casting equipment is connected shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 2.0.8. The lapping positions of two rails should be staggered by a distance not equivalent to the distance between the front and rear wheels, the welds shall be rubbed down, and the gap at the joint of rails shall not be larger than 3mm. The straightness deviation of the top surface of rail in the horizontal plane shall not be larger than 1mm in 1000mm of inspected length, and the straightness deviation in the vertical plane shall not be larger than 2mm in 1000mm of inspected length.
