1 General provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with view to standardizing the design, construction and acceptance of the hospital clean operating department, improving the medical environment control capability of the hospital clean operating department, conforming to the requirements of safety, health, economical efficiency, applicability, energy conservation, environmental protection, etc., and meeting the needs of medical service functions.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design, construction and acceptance of the constructed, renovated and extended hospital clean operating departments.
1.0.3 For the construction of the hospital clean operating department, the technical measures for air cleaning shall be focused on and the protection of the operating zone shall be strengthened to reduce the risk of infection. The principle of being practical and economical shall be adhered to in terms of the building facilities.
1.0.4 The clean operating department should be such designed that development space is reserved, and the flexibility and versatility of the design shall be emphasized to adapt to the needs of future renovation or extension.
1.0.5 In addition to this code, the construction of the hospital clean operating department shall also comply with those stipulated in the current relevant standards and codes of the nation.
2 Terms
2.0.1 clean operating department
an independent functional zone consisting of part or all of clean operating room, clean supporting space, and non-clean supporting space
2.0.2 clean operating room
a kind of operating room where the total amount of the microbial particles and the particles in the operating environment air is reduced to an allowable level by using air cleaning technology
2.0.3 clean supporting space
non-operating room having requirement for air cleanliness
2.0.4 non-clean supporting space
non-operating room not having requirement for air cleanliness
2.0.5 operating zone
a zone that requires special protection, including the operating table and a certain distance outward its four sides
2.0.6 surrounding zone
other zone other than the operating zone in the clean operating room
2.0.7 cleanliness class 5
a kind of air cleanliness meeting that the concentration of the particles larger than or equal to 0.5μm is greater than 350 particles/m3 (0.35 particles/L) but less than or equal to 3,500 particles/m3 (3.5 particles/L) and that of the particles larger than or equal to 5μm is 0 particle/L in the ambient air, which is equivalent to the original Class 100
2.0.8 cleanliness class 6
a kind of air cleanliness meeting that the concentration of the particles larger than or equal to 0.5μm is greater than 3,500 particles/m3 (3.5 particles/L) but less than or equal to 35,200 particles/m3 (35.2 particles/L) and that of the particles larger than or equal to 5μm is less than or equal to 293 particles/m3 (0.3 particles/L) in the ambient air, which is equivalent to the original Class 1,000
2.0.9 cleanliness class 7
a kind of air cleanliness meeting that the concentration of the particles larger than or equal to 0.5μm is greater than 35,200 particles/m3 (35.2 particles/L) but less than or equal to 352,000 particles/m3 (352 particles/L) and that of the particles larger than or equal to 5μm is greater than 293 particles/m3 (0.3 particles/L) but less than or equal to 2,930 particles/m3 (3 particles/L) in the ambient air, which is equivalent to the original Class 10,000
2.0.10 cleanliness class 8
a kind of air cleanliness meeting that the concentration of the particles larger than or equal to 0.5μm is greater than 352,000 particles/m3 (352 particles/L) but less than or equal to 3,520,000 particles/m3 (3,520 particles/L) and that of the particles larger than or equal to 5μm is greater than 2,930 particles/m3 (3 particles/L) but less than or equal to 29,300 particles/m3 (29 particles/L) in the ambient air, which is equivalent to the original Class 100,000
2.0.11 cleanliness class 8.5
a kind of air cleanliness meeting that the concentration of the particles larger than or equal to 0.5μm is greater than 3,520,000 particles/m3 (3,520 particles/L) but less than or equal to 11,120,000 particles/m3 (11,120 particles/L) and that of the particles larger than or equal to 5μm is greater than 29,300 particles/m3 (29 particles/L) but less than or equal to 92,500 particles/m3 (93 particles/L) in the ambient air, which is equivalent to the original Class 300,000
2.0.12 as-built
the status that the indoor cleaning and air conditioning facilities and functions are complete and not operating, but no medical equipment or staff are allocated indoors
