According to the requirements of Notice on printing and distributing the (JIANBIAOHAN [2006] No.136) issued by the former Ministry of Construction, this code is jointly prepared by Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. with organizations concerned.
During the development of this code, the drafting group, following the relevant basic construction guidelines and industrial policies of China, has summarized the experiences of design and production units in the steel industry in recent years by conducting targeted surveys and gathering data from steel enterprises, actively sought and incorporated feedbacks from experts, scholars, and design professionals across the nation in the fields of design, research, and industry, and delved into and assimilated the latest design achievements from abroad. Following thorough examination, analysis, and multiple revisions by the group, this code was ultimately finalized upon review.
This code comprises 8 clauses, with the main contents including: general provisions, terms, basic requirements, process design of continuous casting workshop, choice of technology parameter and type of continuous casting machine, equipment of continuous casting machine, electric instrumentation and automation, and water treatment facility.
The provisions printed in bold type are compulsory and must be enforced strictly.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China is in charge of the administration of this code and the explanation of the compulsory provisions; China Metallurgical Construction Association is in charge of routine management; Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents. During the process of implementing this code, all relevant organizations are kindly requested to sum up experience and accumulate data, and feed the relevant opinions and suggestions back to Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. (address: No.7 Jian'an Street, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, 100176, China) for reference in future revision.
