1 Scope
This standard specifies technical requirements, test methods, marking, packaging, transport and storage as well as sampling of food grade paraffin wax.
This standard is applicable to food grade paraffin waxes, which use oil-bearing wax as raw material and are obtained through hydrogen refining or clay refining after sweating or solvent deoiling, classified into food paraffin wax and food packaging paraffin wax according to application.
Food paraffin wax is used for demoulding, tabletting and polishing of food and drugs fraction which directly contacted with food and drugs and used as food additive.
Food packaging paraffin wax is used for dipping of containers and packing materials connected with food and sealing and coating of drugs.
