1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 10001 specifies common public information graphical symbols for use on sign (hereinafter referred to as graphical symbols).
This Part is applicable to public places and relevant facilities, specifically to the design of the guiding elements, such as the position signs, guide signs, plane sketches, information boards and street block guide maps, in the public information guidance system. This Part is still applicable to publications and other information carriers whose graphical symbol size is greater than 10 mm× 10 mm.

For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding corrigenda), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this Part are encouraged to study whether the latest edition of these documents is applicable.
