本标准规定了农业轮胎的术语和定义、要求、试验方法、标志和包装。本标准适用于农业拖拉机和机械用新的充气轮胎（包括外胎和垫带）。本标准代替ＧＢ／Ｔ１１９２—１９９９《农业轮胎》。
本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ１１９２—１９９９的主要差异如下：
———取消了轮胎的规格、尺寸、气压和负荷表，是以引用文件的形式给出（１９９９年版的表１～表１３；本版的４．１）；
———调整了轮胎物理机械性能指标（１９９９年版的３．４；本版的４．２）；
———删除了检验规则（１９９９年版的第５章）。
