1 Scope
This standard specifies structure formation, technical requirements, materials, test methods and inspection rules, marking, painting, packaging and storage/transportation of flanged and wafer resilient seal butterfly valves.
This standard is applicable to: flanged resilient seal butterfly valves with nominal pressure not larger than PN25 and nominal dimension of DN50~DN4000; and wafer resilient seal butterfly valves with nominal pressure not larger than PN16 and nominal dimension of DN50~DN1200.
Where the medium is non-corrosive liquid or gas, the flow rate of the medium in the pipe, when the valve on fully open position, is not larger than 5m/s.

1 Scope
