GB/T 13366-2009 Caesium-137 gamma radiation source for industrial gauges
1 Scope
This standard specifies the product code, product structure and specifications, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, inspection certificates and instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of caesium-137 gamma radiation source for industrial gauges (hereinafter referred to as caesium-137 source).
This standard is applicable to caesium-137 gamma radiation source for industrial gauges for measuring material level, density and thickness of various materials, and also applies to caesium-137 gamma radiation source for logging, scientific research and teaching.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

safety working life
shortest service time without leakage under normal service conditions

source seed
carrier of the caesium-137 radioactive material
4 Product codes
The product code is specified as CSG-×××.
Example: CSG102 indicates a caesium-137 source, the type-1 source capsule, corresponding to Table A.1, and the activity code is 02, corresponding to 0.74 GBq in Table B.1.
5 Product structure and specification
5.1 Product structure
5.1.1 Caesium-137 source consists of two parts: source seed and source capsule.
5.1.2 The source capsule adopts at least two capsule layers.
5.1.3 See Annex A for the structural schematic diagram of common caesium-137 source.
5.2 Product specification
See Annex B for specifications of commonly used caesium-137 sources.
Unless the user has special specifications, the caesium-137 source shall be manufactured according to Table B.1 of Annex B.
6 Technical requirements
6.1 Source seed
The seed of caesium-137 source shall meet the requirements of "non-leachable" specified in GB 4075-2009.
