Subject Content and Application Scope
This standard specifies the test conditions, general provisions for the test and test procedures for electrical test methods of the power semiconductor converters.
This standard is applicable to the test methods for all converters, such as rectifiers, inverters and converters having both operating modes and all electric power and electronic switches; the test items needed shall be specified in the inspection rules of respective product standards.
This standard specifies common problems among the electrical test of converters and the specific problems about the different converters may be specified in the classification standard or other standards of such converter.
This standard is not applicable to the converter in motor vehicle and airborne converter in aviation device.
