1 Scope
This standard specifies the terminologies and definitions, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of converter of permanent magnet wind turbine generator (hereinafter referred to as "converter") as well as the relevant information of its products, etc.
This standard is applicable to the voltage source converter connecting with the stator winding of permanent magnet wind turbine generator.

Converter of permanent magnet wind turbine generator
The AC/DC voltage source static converter matching with permanent magnet wind turbine generator, connected between stator winding and line and used for transfer stator winding energy into line, it mainly consists of generator-side converter, DC link, line-side converter and its control system. Some types of energy may flow in both directions, while some may only flow toward line side.
