This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB/T 13821-2009 Zinc alloy die castings. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect GB/T 13821-2009:
a) The "Scope" has been modified (see Clause 1 hereof; Clause 1 of Edition 2009);
b) The classification and grading of zinc alloy die castings have been changed, and the marking of inc alloy die castings has been deleted (see Clause 4 hereof; Clause 3 of Edition 2009);
c) The technical requirements have been modified (see Clause 5 hereof; Clause 4 of Edition 2009);
d) The quality assurance has been deleted (see Clause 5 in Edition 2009);
e) The test method has been modified (see Clause 6 hereof; Clause 6 of Edition 2009);
f) Inspection rules have been modified (see Clause 7 hereof; Clause 6 of Edition 2009);
g) The delivery, marking, packaging, transportation and storage have been modified (see Clause 8 hereof; Clause 7 of Edition 2009).

1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and grading, technical requirements, test method and inspection rules as well as delivery, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of zinc alloy die castings.
This document is applicable to the manufacturing and quality inspection of zinc alloy die castings.
