Compression type terminal lugs and ferrules with copper or aluminum for power cables conductors
1 Scope
This standard specifies the models, specifications, technical requirements, test, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation of compression type copper or aluminum or Cu-Al transition terminal lugs and copper or aluminum ferrules for power cables conductors of 35kV (Um=40.5kV) and below.
This standard is applicable to compression type copper or aluminum or Cu-Al transition terminal lugs and copper or aluminum ferrules for power cables conductors of 35kV (Um=40.5kV) and below. The applicable section range is (10~630)mm2 for copper conductor while (16~630)mm2 for aluminum conductor. It may also serve as reference for other wires and cables for fixed laying.

The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply to this standard. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2900.10 as well as the following apply.
3.1
compression terminal lugs
conductive fittings for connecting the cable end conductors with the electrical device terminals by compression. Usually, the end connected to the cable conductor is tubular and the other end connected to the electrical device is a flat plate with a specific shape
3.2
compression ferrules
tubular conductive fittings for connecting two or more adjacent cable conductors to each other in the middle of a line by compression
3.3
Cu-Al transition lug
terminal lug made of copper and aluminum by welding or other process, which is used to connect conductive components made of copper and aluminum
