GB/T 14986.1-2018 Soft magnetic alloys - Part 1: General requirements
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 14986 specifies the terms and definitions, classification, order contents, dimension, shape and weight, technical requirements, inspection rules, test methods, packaging, marking and quality certification of soft magnetic alloys.
This part is applicable to cold-rolled strips, cold-rolled sheets, cold-drawn wires, cold-drawn (rolled) pipes, moderate-temperature-rolled strips, hot-rolled round wire rods, hot-rolled flat billets, hot-rolled (forged) bars, and turnery bars or ground bars made of soft magnetic alloys (hereinafter referred to as "alloy products").
This part is not applicable to the amorphous and nanocrystalline soft magnetic alloy strips (see GB/T 19345).

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
hot-rolled flat billets
alloy products with rectangular cross section, with a thickness of less than 50mm and a width of not greater than 800mm, obtained from forged blanks or hot-rolled blanks by hot rolling them again
3.2
moderate-temperature-rolled strip
strip with a thickness of not greater than 1.0mm, which is rolled in a temperature range above 400℃ and below the recrystallization temperature
3.3
turnery bar or ground bar
round steel that has been turned or rough ground to remove surface defect that are formed during hot rolling (forging)
4 Classification
Soft magnetic alloys are classified into the following four categories according to their main elements:
a) Iron-nickel alloys
1) Iron-nickel alloys are sub-classified into the following four categories according to their nickel content:
——E1: Iron-nickel alloys with a nickel content of 72%~83%;

1 Scope
This part of GB/T 14986 specifies the terms and definitions, classification, order contents, dimension, shape and weight, technical requirements, inspection rules, test methods, packaging, marking and quality certification of soft magnetic alloys.
This part is applicable to cold-rolled strips, cold-rolled sheets, cold-drawn wires, cold-drawn (rolled) pipes, moderate-temperature-rolled strips, hot-rolled round wire rods, hot-rolled flat billets, hot-rolled (forged) bars, and turnery bars or ground bars made of soft magnetic alloys (hereinafter referred to as "alloy products").
