Method for hydraulic burst test of gas cylinder English 1 Scope This standard specifies the basic requirements on method and device for hydraulic burst test of gas cylinder. This standard is applicable to the hydraulic burst test of steel seamless gas cylinders, welded gas cylinders, aluminum alloy seamless gas cylinders and wrapped gas cylinders with nominal working pressure of 1MPa-35MPa and nominal volume of 0.4L-3,000L. This standard is not applicable to non-refillable steel welded cylinders for industrial use. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced documents (including any amendments) applies. GB/T 13005 Terminology of gas cylinders 3 Terms, definitions and symbols 3.1 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions established in GB/T 13005 and the following apply. 3.1.1 testing cylinder gas cylinders to be tested or under test 3.1.2 burst pressure maximum pressure actually reached during the burst of the gas cylinder 3.1.3 yield pressure pressure when the cylinder material starts to yield completely along the wall thickness under the action of internal pressure
